I believe there is a quite active one for received postcards:
Probably it can be done there too
@Xute I donāt think itās confusing, I have something similar on my own profile but hardly ever get cards that are like that. Iāve now joined a couple of tags to get rid of some of my own postcards that fit that description. I have received a couple of cards people didnāt like and I love it when they tell me what they donāt like about it.
Done If you had other ideas to improve it, please feel free to do so!
Your profile is very friendly and well written. Iām not a big soccer/football fan myself, but you write very passionate about this topic. I surely would find an interesting card for you
Dear @jlk254,
I enjoyed reading your profile and would have fun both selecting a card and writing it.
Edit: As you read my feedback on āgrammarā, I deleted it. Iām glad I could help!
Hey everyone,
it would be lovely if some of you kind people could give feedback on my profile?
Iām rather new to postcrossing and the forum and would appreciate your input!
@jewelldelis, I loved all the in depth feedback you gave! Would you mind sharing your thoughts on my profile as well?
Thanks so much in advance!
Thank you very much! And good spot, I didnāt notice. Appreciate it
Hi
Iām new to postcrossing and would love to get feedback on my profile. My aim is to give enough information without being overbearing. Giving hints about what I like to make it easier for a person to pick me a postcard, yet also leaving the choice entirely up to them. If I could make that come through better, Iād appreciate all the help
Hello Anna! Wellcome to Postcrossing
You shared a good amount about your hobbies and interests. I would send a postcard, that matches the things you enjoy - maybe a handmade-card.
I like the open for everything style in your profile, but some people like lists more. Maybe you could add something like āsend me any card/ your favourite cardā if you want to write a suggestive sentence about the cards for you, but in my opinion itās not necessary.
@jlk254 I saw the womenās football and immediately related to it (my best friend was playing women rugby-7 professionally, it might be apple and oranges, but I would know what to write about). Overall profile is nice, plenty to read but not overloaded.
@industria I like the profile, itās friendly and has all the essential parts - to relate to you and get ideas what to send, if Iād provide some critic - the structure of presentation feels a bit chaotic to me in the beginning (like two separate paragraphs on what you feel about postcrossing and there is a bit of repetition on what you like in cards). Imagining myself as person with poor English, even though you say what you want to receive, Iād be confused.
@Loveanna Friendly and nice! Iām a bit confused about āinner livesā - would I write about my inner thoughts and feelings or tell you little things about my everyday life? (if I were pregnant, Iād write about āinner lifeā so much ) Maybe better wording needed to be advised by native English speaker. Essay writer in me disagrees on using āmuch moreā, āand so onā phrases more than once. But then seeing āhyggeā in profile is for me now I would write about what makes me happy on the card
Oh my, I hope Iām not too harsh! Just saying where confusion for me occurs, all three profiles seem like ones I like to get, picking a card to send would be plenty nice ^^
Thank you so much for the feedback! It didnāt feel harsh to me at all. Iāll look over my profile again and see what I want to incorporate. Just not now, I feel too tired for that. Thanks again!
Iām very curious what you all think of the text on my profile. Especialy whether it is demanding for anything or not. Because I donāt want readers to get the feeling they hĆ”ve to pick one of my suggestions or they hĆ”ve to add a souvenir.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to read my profile!
Hello @WMiddel, your profile is very friendly and in my opinion not demanding.
I only found a minor grammtical mistake in your german sentence. Itās better to put the verb to the end of the sentence, so it would be āDu kannst mir auf Deutsch, Englisch, NiederlƤndisch oder Spanisch schreibenā
I also think your profile is very friendly and not demanding at all. I could easily find a card for you from my stash and would be happy if I happened to draw your address in the future.
Your profile is nice, friendly and not demanding at all. I also wouldnāt have any problems finding a matching card for you.
There is another grammatical mistake though:
Instead of āSince 2,5 years, I am studying to become an elementary school teacher.ā I would write āI have been studying to become a primary school teacher for 2.5 years.ā
@Jarana Danke schƶn! Iāll change that.
@nnniiina Thank you for your kind words!
@_Hawkwind_ Thank you for the grammar check, Iāll change it.
And to all three of you: thanks for taking the time to read my profile and giving me such kind feedback. Iām glad to hear you donāt think itās demanding.
Hello. I donāt know how this works but I would love some feedback. Thank you
Hi @Xute,
I went and changed my profile quite a bit. Do you think you could check it again to see if it is easier to understand now? Is the organization less chaotic?
Thanks again for your feedback!
Hi!
You just do what you did and weāll give you feedback.
I find your profile short but easy going. You give ideas in case someone is looking for those, but also make clear that youāll appreciate any card. This way it is not demanding.
I noticed some minor mistakes:
And Iām a Snoopy absolutely fan.
Shouldnāt it be: "And Iām an absolute Snoopy fan. ?
But most of all I`ll happy to get
Iāll be happy
And last but not least: How did you get emojis into your profile? I would love to do that in mine, too, but I havenāt figured out how yet!
