Hi everyone!
I’m having a bit of a week as my gran had a go at dying on Sunday (but then didn’t die) but it looks like she could go at any time in the next week or two.
I still intent on hosting the meetup but obviously there is a chance I might have to disappear off up North as short notice. It’s actually quite funny as I discovered Postcrossing through my gran, she saw a newspaper article about is and said it sounded like a scam to harvest addresses so even in the late stages of dementia she’s still trying to ward me off
Anyway it would put my mind at rest if someone would like to be backup Constanze. I’d be able to send my other half over with badges/stamps etc to handover in the morning. Then you would basically just need to herd the happy Postcrossers from one location to the next.

Hi Constanze, I’m really sorry to hear this. I can’t offer to help much as I’ll have my hands full herding my daughter who has a lot of anxiety but I hope you can find someone who is a better sheepdog than me.
Btw, my husband is also convinced many people are harvesting addresses here, too, so your gran isn’t alone in her suspicions.
Hello Constanze, I’m sorry to read your news. I do hope your gran recovers and that you can make it to the meeting. I regret I can’t offer to be back-up host as I don’t know my way around well enough. However I have got my train tickets now!
