Show Us Your ATC (Artist Trading Cards)

I LOVE the Halloween ones, and who care’s if they weren’t finished in time, I’m sure there’s plenty of people like myself who collect Halloween things all year round, these are gorgeous :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Thank you so much! You’re right, and even though I was unsure at first, it wasn’t difficult to find people to send these cards to. And speaking from personal experience, I certainly wouldn’t mind receiving Halloween related things all year round as well.
It’s a bit of a shame I didn’t manage to make any ATCs in time for Halloween this year though

Yes I bet they were snapped up! I can never get my stuff ready on time, right now I should be sending Christmas cards out but I know full well my friends around the world will be getting them in Jan haha, I guess anytime is a good time to get happy mail though right?! Love your stuff, I went across and followed you on IG  have a great Sunday!

I certainly get it about holiday cards! I was hoping to be a bit more ‘responsible’ this year and make sure I have everything prepared, but I’m not sure if it’ll work out.
But honestly, January doesn’t sound too late to get some Christmas mail, at least to me. And yes, it’s always great to get some happy mail
Thank you so much for your kind words, and have a great Sunday as well!

A little secret:
When I´m feeling a little bit blue, I always look through this and the “Handmade and Mail Art” thread.
I added ATCs on my official “wishlist”.

It really does help to see these amazing cards. Every artist participating in these threads: Thank you!

Last night, I hand-carved eraser stamp of a woman for the first time and made an ATC with its print (hand-print with an ink pad)

Swap requests welcome !

I appreciate the tree one. It appears a little abstract to me. It’s cool!

Winter ATC for a swap (rubber stamped image) :snowflake: (the postcard is only because it went with the swap, it’s not by me)

By the way, there is a thread in Tag section on the forum called Vote on New Tags. I have just started a poll there for my new tag idea :

Show the ATCs You Offer Tag

If any of you are interested, please come and vote for the new tag idea. Thank you a lot in advance!

I made a new series. I used old receipts and some other old paper as base and drew the women on top. Then I hand stitched around the card.

I wonder: did you ever trade cards ‘in real life’? I would love the trade cards physically, but have never encountered an event/person to trade with unfortunately.

Your ATCs are wonderful!

I did on an event where people met for rubber stamping/ crafting for a weekend. There was a special rubber stamp designed for the participants of that meetup. Many participants made ATCs with these stamp and then traded them. It was fun, and I also traded some ATCs with different designs. That happened a few years ago, though and I never traded ATCs in real life since. (But do lots of exchanges via mail.)

There are real life ATC trading sessions in Zurich every now and then. The inventor of the ATCs, Vänci Stirnemann sets up these events on Facebook: ATC - Artist Trading Cards Öffentliche Gruppe | Facebook.

An there should be other trading sessions, too, elswhere in the world.

Thank you for sharing your experiences! That sounds like a fun event! I’m going to ask the art centre of my uni if they can set up an ACT making&trading workshop
I know some Facebook groups that swap through mail. The only thing that holds me back is the postage: I can’t decide whether to spend my money on postcrossing or ATCs :upside_down_face:

It’s possible to combine both: I exchange ATCs via the Postcrossing forum

Else it’s phases where either the one or the other are in the centre of focus.
