My 9th received postcard was from Georgia! I was surprised to see such a short postcard ID.
As of today Georgia has 67 members.
received from a swiss girl on holiday on travelmode
received from a german guy on holiday in benin via swap
I’m not sure what is considered “rare country”.
Is it a country with small number of members or short ID numbers? Sometimes there are countries with more postcards sent but less members.
Anyway, here are some of my received :
A very bad result among my 880 official cards since 2005:
*Malta
*Sri Lanka
I just got one from Cyprus. 154 total members there so not as rare as some countries but still was great to me!

The rarest country that I received postcard is Sri Lanka .
I received it in January this year.
I have postcards from 107 countries, most of which I did not receive from the official Postcrossing website. However, here are 2 that are rare from there:
And here are a few postcards from rare countries I’ve received that I want to share

Gibraltar
An official from Gibraltar:
The rarest postal items come from countries under sanctions. A postcard from Cuba, unfortunately, without canceling the stamp from tourists, and an envelope from Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea).
For me, Libya, Thailand, Vietnam, the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and Mexico are rare.
How do you go about getting mail from North Korea. That seems nearly impossible.
