#7@alcott1 - nice vintage card to “Fairyland” … would be nice to travel there, away from all our worries and world stressors.
#8@Shesa-Renegade - Peace card, nice stamps. No, … I did not know that tomato hormworms glow in UV light. Will have to try it this summer; gotta keep those peskies off our plants!
#12@Yarn-Lady - beautiful B & W image; spending a lot of time trying to figure it out. No attribution or title … wish I could learn more.
#29@sends a retro Washington Dc skyline with some stars on it. I went to DC once several years ago and I would love to go back. So much was left unseen!
14 @jacieslar sent a very cute card reminding the importance of small acts of kindness. So true! Thank you
26 @Susaninutah sent the most amazing vintage card It is so rare to see glitter on cards that old!! Amazing! The year is faded on the postmark, I wish I could tell exactly when it was sent! It is the sweetest message talking about little Ernest growing up too fast I smiled while reading your stories! It’s amazing how you remember these days! I’ll tell you mine next time Thank you so very much my friend
#4@jenhart I have never been to Florida before, but one of our clients keeps on trying to get me there with the baby! I hope you had a blast despite the restaurant availability!
#6@mikeyz1 Great photo of this actor! I haven’t watched a silent film in a while, but I do enjoy them. I sometimes like to watch films in different languages which, for me, is pretty much the same thing since I don’t understand what they are saying and have to read body language. I like it when my kids watch shows like Tom & Jerry since it holds their attention longer, needing to pay attention rather than half listen. Love the stamps as well- they weren’t even canceled, which is cool!
#20@Triol I LOVE the image on this postcard! We need to get back to garden parties and tea time. I am trying to enjoy the Spring, but Indiana can’t get it together on what season it is. I am sure we aren’t the only ones with this problem, of course.
#7@alcott1 Thank you for the postcard view of South Cheyenne Canyon, Colorado Springs, from c1910. The card holds many clues and bits of info. I enjoy investigating earlier Colorado history. I looked up the photographer and he had taken photos of Cripple Creek, as well. So, your vintage card has led me onto other findings! I hope the postcard show you attended was fun and interesting for you!
from #26@Susaninutah - I’ve never seen a puffin burrow - so a fantastic card for my puffins collection! I get the preference for greater creature comforts as we leave our youthful days of starry night camping and roughshod portaging.
from #27@HarleyGirl73 - fabulous Grimm hockey card with my favourite of the Aislin series stamps. Thank you, eh!
#12
More lovelies have arrived - thank you!
4 - @jenhart - Cape Lookout - I love these cards by Arndt! Looks like a perfect day!
8 - @Shesa-Renegade - Map of the Bahamas - What a fabulous place to have a work trip!!!
11 - @HookedonPostcards - Cross Stitch pattern of Ukraine - I love their designs. And, they seem to value them still - which is really nice.
14 - @jacieslar - a word card - inspiring words. Hope your family made it to visit!
20 - @ Triol - A girl knitting - such concentration! I agree with you about the war… many prayers.
24 - @roxy - A lovely Veteran’s Day Remembrance Card! How cool that your sister shopped for you!!!
29 - @melvnoble - Great old ‘political’ buttons! These are so fun!
Thank you all for the great cards!
#30@Triol I just love bunny illustrations and this one is darling! We did have a nice Easter/Spring celebration with our family. I really like your Happy Mail sticker!
#4@jenhart - Thank you Jen for this postcard of the Legare Waring House in Charleston! I am planning a trip to Charleston in November, so I’ll have to keep this place in mind to visit!
#20@Triol - Thank you Olga for this postcard of Prince William and George! That boy is a little cutie but I can’t imagine how growing up in a royal family must feel!
#7@alcott1 - great vintage linen card of Coral Gables, FL. Postcard shows are so fun!
#12@Yarn-Lady - a precious Beatrix Potter illustration of a knitting mouse.
#26@Susaninutah - vintage ad reprint for Lucky Strike cigarettes
#27@HarleyGirl73 - a great RCMP vintage reprint card showing Royal visitors being formally escorted from the RCMP Chapel by RCMP officers. Great Queen Elizabeth stamps too!
#28@TwoDoggies - a fun Flintstones card from my faves. So cute!!
#4@JenHart Panama City Beach card with sunset. when does school get out there? Virginia schools used to get out really late, almost July because they wouldn’t start until after Labor Day (the King’s Dominion law). Now they are starting a week or so before Labor Day and get out June 10. Much better.
#18@LaurenceB Christine De Pizan, Author and Art Director of Illuminated Manuscrpts from a new card series called in Women in Art. I do like the lighter colors.
#26@susaninutah a handmade card with map of Va, harley sticker & motorcycle stamp. Thanks! Although I’ve had some hair-raising experiences, I’ve never dropped my bike or had to lay it down. Thank God!
@jenhart#4 Thank you for Panama City Beach. Summer is coming so fast! I miss having summer breaks. @LaurenceB#18 Thank you for the lovely card of Julia Margaret Cameron! I have received many cards from the Women in Science box but only just found out there is an art edition! How awesome! @Triol#20 Thank you for the beautiful card of Tucumcari, NM. We are having a lovely warm weekend. Excited to be outside tomorrow!
#15@AccentOnHakes Thank you for the Madison, Wisconsin card! The chipotle chicken and black bean sounds delicious!
#17@anon34290437 Thank you for the Indiana card and for sharing a bit about your hometown!
#28@TwoDoggies Thank you for the geetika year of the tiger card! I’m a bit jealous that your cherry and pear trees have bloomed. Mine is still barren as it’s quite cold still. Fingers crossed they’ll bloom soon!
#21@Beachyblonde - peace for Ukraine, thank you! I try to help where I can as well. So far I’ve ordered a shirt that is dedicated (all proceeds) to saving shelter animals in Ukraine. I’ve also ordered cards to support a Ukrainian Etsy seller, she does her own art and they’re beautiful! Rounded up at the grocery store to help with food and supplies. Every little bit counts, I feel for them.
