Belgian post (Bpost) suspended outgoing mails to both Russia and Ukraine as from this morning (according to customer support). This info will be published on their website in the coming days

The Irish post company, an post, has announced that all post to Moldova, Ukraine and Russia are suspended, kinda sad cuz I just saw it and I sent a postcard to Russia 40 minutes ago in the post office.

Can you share a screenshot of your communication with them?

This is the answer I received from the callcenter this afternoon (on the phone). I asked where I could find this update but as this is fresh news (from today) Bpost website has not been updated yet. It would be done in the coming days. I posted this news already because some other Belgian postcrossers might be interested to know.
If you prefer, I can delete my message and re-post once Bpost website has been updated?

No, no — no need to delete your post about it, in fact, we appreciate that you let us know! :+1:

But as we always try to update the postal monitor with a source we can verify (ideally an official one) and point to, we’ll need to wait for their website to update. Hopefully they will do it soon.

Chile, Japan, New Zealand.

I just messaged the USPS via facebook and here’s their reply. If anyone is unsure, please reach out to them, they’ll respond.

Edit: I asked if the suspension is ongoing or will begin at a certain date. Here’s the answer (I have no idea why they didn’t post an alert on the main website!):

Thank you @sonataca. They usually post on their website, but this time they did not post on Twitter or Facebook or anywhere!

Hello,

At this time, if I look on the site of the French post, there are no restrictions to Ukraine is it weird?

I don’t know if their articles are up to date:

https://aide.laposte.fr/contenu/quelles-sont-les-destinations-internationales-suspendues-et-pourquoi?t=cc

They talk about very long parcel delays for Russia due to the lack of planes. I’m really surprised that they don’t talk about Ukraine:

https://aide.laposte.fr/contenu/allongement-des-delais-d-acheminement-a-destination-de-la-russie?t=cc

Don’t know if you already know: as of today, mail from AT to RU is suspended

We reached out to bpost over FB and they said that at the moment letter post to Ukraine/Russia/Moldova is still possible, although likely with delays.

It’s natural that there’s some confusion as the situation is quite volatile. We’ll update the postal monitor when they update their page (“Europe&International” tab).
