Hopelessness of a new Postcrosser with long travelling cards

Thanks for your reply.
The addresses I got to send postcards are all active users.
And Im used to the fact that it takes patience at the beginning.

Thank you my friend from the States!
Patience is all we need and it will be worth it after we got our first postcard registered!
Happy postcrossing and good luck to you and me.

你儽 @Treeinwinter I understand your hopelessness. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
As for China my average for sending postcards is 44 days to arrive in China and average for receiving postcards from China is 31 days.
Currently I have 2 postcards traveling to China. The first one I sent already April 1 2021, so it is traveling already for 301 days. The other one is traveling 86 days (sent Nov. 2)ā€¦
Donā€™t get discouraged, just be a little more patientā€¦ Your postcards can be delivered any time now!

Thank you for your advice Enrique.
Penpaling and search through ins or other social media may work as well.
But your creative idea just inspired me.
Thanks again and Best wishes.

Hi my friend from Germany.
Really grateful to your useful suggestions and I have taken down notes!
Fewer and Fewer flights between CHINA and other countries is the thing that gets in the way of postcrossing.
Actually what I hope is my sent postcards can arrive on time more than get postcard from others.
Happy postcrossing

Thank you my friend from Maryland!
Exactly! I also dream of getting my official postcard in the near future!
How nice that these cards add much joy to our life.

I know this sounds weird but try forgetting about postcrossing, that way youā€™ll be surprised when your first card arrives :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hi my friend from Tennessee!
So great to hear that you have a wonderful beginning in postcrossing.
And I have heared about the round robins and lotteries. All interesting projects.
Maybe I will start my own one day.
Best wishes

Hi friend from Canberra!
I did ask the local post office in China, some of the answers were that, many postcards need to be gathered for disinfection when they arrive in China. So when this period is over they may get delivered, perhaps thats why people ,at least in CHINA, get several postcards at the same time.

Seems to happen a lot in the last few months. Like mail from one place probably arrives together on the same flight, then gets distributed across the country over the next couple of days. Since there are still less flights due to the pandemic, it has become noticeable.

It happens to me too, several cards from one country arrive to me in one day. I go back home after picking up my cards and announce "the flight from Finland/Germany/Russia/anycountry has arrived!"

Hi Oliwia, thank you for your suggestion.

And letā€™s hope there will be more surprises for everyone!

Donā€™t worry! My first sending of postcards traveled for a long time, and postcards for me traveled for a very long time) Someday we will have a lot of postcards in the mailbox and hurray on the email
