What to do if a card is travelling for a while?

As said above, don’t worry too much. The cards only expire after 60 days and even so, they may arrive after that and be registered - your card has 1 year to travel. Also, when a travelling card expires, the receiver’s address is given to another person. So resending is up to you, but most people don’t think it’s necessary and I would wait a bit longer to consider doing so or not.

Sometimes the mail takes the scenic route and travels as slow as a snail. Snail mail The Covid-19 has slowed down the mail as well due to fewer passenger airplanes. The mail is often sent with passenger airplanes. Sometimes the mail travels with ship now. There has been issues with the mail in the US the last months as well, which has slowed down the mail as well. Don’t worry about a postcard that has only travelled for 42 days. There’s still a good chance that it arrives…
