This event is being repeated due to high demand. Go on an exciting journey and experience the history of immigration and emigration across four eras in the BallinStadt Emigration Museum in Hamburg. In a total of three houses on 2,500 square meters in our museum in Hamburg, you will accompany people with all their wishes and dreams that they took with them on their way to a new home. Get to know Albert Ballin, the founder of the former emigrant halls in Hamburg, and follow in the footsteps of your ancestors in the BallinStadt family research center.
At a historic location, the BallinStadt Hamburg emigration museum focuses on emigration via Hamburg (1850 - 1934) and the development of migration over four eras. Always accompanied by human longings, fates and stories. The reasons for migration are still timeless today. Escape from war, hunger and persecution or simply a sense of adventure, curiosity and the dream of a new (better) life are then as now the motivation for emigration and therefore immigration. (Tickets - Emigration Museum BallinStadt Hamburg 14)
We meet in front of the museum and then the visit begins. After about two hours we go to a restaurant: eat, drink, talk and are busy with our postcards. I will choose a restaurant when I know how many people there are.
There are only 15 seats to ensure we have enough time to talk. I ask you not to have more than 30 cards stamped.
Regular admission € 12,00
