Dear International Postcrosser,
Next Saturday, November 19 at 18 Helsinki Time (6 PM EET / 4 PM GMT) we are arranging an international virtual Thanksgiving meetup.
You need a computer (laptop, desktop), a tablet, or a smartphone with a front camera/ web camera and a microphone. And of course a cozy corner for yourself, a good mood, a few postcards to write and show to others (optional), and some beverages and snacks… anything that will make you comfy!
…And about the meetup itself: How does it work then when the meetup has started? Well, usually there will be a short hello-round so that we know who we are chatting with! If there will be extra many participants, what we are hoping for, we could join in smaller breakout rooms to enjoy conversation also there during the evening. You will get also a list of participants by email 24 hours before the meetup. And of course, you can also write postcards during the meetup (if you have time from talking).
Quite often we ask everyone to introduce one interesting/important postcard to others. THANKSGIVING is our special theme this time, maybe you can show a meaningful, received card or tell a note which made your day recently. Or maybe you would like to show a card with (traditional) food: Food has also great meaning in celebrations of Thanksgiving. This is not compulsory.
