Special rate from Canada to US

This is one is for all postcrossers in Canada!

We are trying to understand how well known is (to Canadians) that there is special postage rate to send postcards to the US. In other words, that postcards from Canada to the US can be sent with a lower rate than the regular international one.

Are you aware of this special rate?

It seems that the majority of postcrossers in Canada who voted already know about the special postage rate to the US — that’s great! No point in spending more than necessary as it’s already not that cheap which is in part why we made this poll.

However, I have yet another question for you all! It’s related though.

Did you know that that same US postage rate can also be used to mail postcards not just to the USA but also to any of the US territories? Namely:

  • Puerto Rico
  • Guam
  • Northern Mariana Islands
  • United States Minor Outlying Islands
  • Virgin Islands of the USA
  • American Samoa
  • Micronesia
  • Marshall Islands
  • Palau
