In Japan, stamps with flowers and plants as motifs by the painter Yumeji Takehisa will be released on February 1, 2022.
I love his work so I’m really looking forward to it!
Also, the stamps with the motif of modern Tokyo / old Edo, which will be released on March 3, are wonderful.
The face value of this stamp is for sending letters in Japan, which is more than the amount for sending postcards overseas, but I will use it generously!
These barn Presort stamps look pretty similar to the (still current) barn postcard stamps! Guess we really love our barns haha
India Post released another COVID-19 related stamp on 16 Jan 2022.
This stamp celebrates first anniversary of the India’s vaccination drive and it’s achievement in developing the indigenous COVID-19 vaccine.
I was looking forward to the stamp for Winter Olympic games but… I don’t know, I don’t like it as I liked one for Tokyo. At least the value is B (8.60 kn) for international postcard
Another bit of news: I have asked the responsible Federal Ministry of Finance. The Postcrossing stamp is expected to be published at the end of August. The background is copyright regulations and licensing agreements.
Woowww!
Beautiful stamps! I am so excited to head to the post office and grab a few books. I am almost entirely out of stamps and need more global stamps as well
New international stamps will issued in March.
Thanks for the heads up! I appreciate it.
So beautiful and round like full moon. What a perfect stamp indeed
I just looked it up. I am not a huge fan of flowers, but have nothing against them, either. I just checked the USPS site, and the International Postcard stamp (1 ounce Global Forever) will continue in the tradition of a round Global Forever stamp, and has a very nice yellow African Daisy featured. They are $1.30 each. I wanted to order them, but they will not go on sale until March 14th - issued out of the Kansas City facility.
Beautiful stamps!! I love Siberian Tigers!
rookie question here - do they all roll out at different times? Some of these are awesome but i dont see them on the usps website (Title IX and elephants, namely)
The stamps will be issued at different times throughout the year. If you check periodically on the USPS Newsroom website they will announce the release dates . The new stamps will be issued as pre-order sales first, then after the issuing ceremony they will fully be sold on the site and at the retail locations.
Title IX will be available March 3rd. They have not yet announced when the elephants will be issued.
I don’t think this has been posted here yet - Canada Post released their first new stamp of the year today (21 Jan), featuring Elanore Collins. It’s beautiful!
