Meaning of the USPS Label

A letter I received got returned to me (my mistake) but I was wondering if the numbers on the top of the label have any meaning. I tried googling it, but the label looked a bit different there (NIXIE instead of -R-T-S- and the code had multiple numbers not one long as here, and so on)
So if you can tell me something about that i would be glad.

-R-T-S- probably just stands for “return to sender”.

Was the letter going to Hawaiʻi? 96820 is apparently the ZIP code for the mail processing centre in Honolulu, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the numbers represent the mail processing centre which handled your letter.

Yes, it was going to the state of Hawaii
