If travelling in a country that has limited postal links, will algorithm pick addresses I can’t send to?

Hi,
When I am traveling in a country that can’t send mail to a lot of other countries, will the algorithm know this & only send me addresses that I can actually send to?
(This is for the future once we can travel again!)

Yes, postcrossing only gives you addresses to which you can currently send cards - and not only when you are in Travel mode, but generally (provided they have been informed of the restriction).

You can also look to the Postal Monitor

I’m pretty sure if you switch your account to travel mode, Postcrossing will give you matching addresses for that country.

By the time we can travel, mail restrictions should also be a lot less… I would imagine.
