The Frankfurt Postcrossing Breakfast Club celebrates its 4th anniverary! It has been organized in the German-language section of the forum, but the 4th aniversary is a good time to announce it officially to all. Please note: Attendance is limited to 10 persons. Attendance is organized in the German-language thread [MEET-UP] Postcrossing Breakfast Club Frankfurt/Main 08.08.21 vor Ort (scroll to the bottom) , you are welcome to post in English there.

At the Postcrossing Meet-Up in Frankfurt am Main on 23+24-Jun-2017 we noticed that there are more Postcrossers in the Rhine-Main region than anticipated, so we decided to create a regular Stammtisch (not easy to translate, means a table for people who regularly meet) in Frankfurt am Main. It happens usually on each second Sunday of the month, starting at 10:00 AM German time. For exceptions, details and the exact date and location please refer to the first post of the German-languare thread: [MEET-UP] Postcrossing Breakfast Club Frankfurt/Main 08.08.21 vor Ort

The breakfast is open to non-German-speaking Postcrossers. Not everyone will be fluent enough in English to join into conversation with you, but some of us are able to converse in English. Please note that attendance is limited to 10 persons, and Frankfurt’s breakfast restaurants usually are completely booked, so there is no chance of seating any additional persons. Please request your attendace in the German-language thread [MEET-UP] Postcrossing Breakfast Club Frankfurt/Main 08.08.21 vor Ort - #224 by NH71 (posting in English is fine) and check that you are on the attendee list that we organizers create usually about 2 weeks prior to the breakfast. If you can’t come, please also post in the German-language thread, so someone else can take your seat. If a seat becomes free, please make sure you post in the thread that you are coming, even if it’s in the morning of the breakfast day, so no one else will come as well - it would be a pity if we have to send the person(s) home who didn’t announce their attendance on the thread. Thank you!

Current local COVID-19 regulations to enter the restaurant require every participant to present to the restaurant staff one of the following:

  • Certificate that you recovered from a COVID-19 infection, the recovery date stated must be less than 6 months prior to the meeting date.**
  • Certificate that you are fully vaccinated (2 weeks after the second vaccination or 4 weeks after the Johnson&Johnson vaccination). This can be your vaccination passport, the printouts for the EU electronic vaccination passport or the EU electronic vaccination passport (e.g in the German federal government COVID-19 warning app).**
  • The negative result of a COVID-19 quick-test from a public test center (self-tests are not accepted), the time of the test must be less than 24 hours old at the time you enter the restaurant.**

Medical masks (operation room or FFP2) must be worn everywhere in the restaurant except when you are sitting at the table.

For requirements to enter Germany please check with your local authorities.

Please check again the internet pages of the authorities shortly before your trip as requirements may change at any time.

I intend to create a meet-up card, I’ve already chosen a motif but need sunshine and spare time at the right time of day to get a decent photo of it. I’ll post the motif here once it’s ready.

We hope to see you in Frankfurt!
