Food on stamps!

Surely it is the job of the lady at the post office to get the stamps sold to customers,
not to keep them in the drawers! But I understand you, as I have visited a Greek post
office many times. I find the men more eager to help, only if you can find any men there…

Another delicious addition to this topic, this time from Hong Kong

Berries from 2020 were either very popular or issued by small quantity, they have been already sold. I didn’t manage to buy them as I was not active in PC in 2019, 2020. Unlike this, some fruits from 2003 can still be found in the postal shop. They are scented but the scent is not to my liking at all. I guess they will now become popular because of the small denomination - I prefer them to ugly modern “eagle” stamps (definitive). Newcomers in postcrossing may also like them more. I have already received many positive responses.

Well, this is not exactly all food per se, but it is the stamp series issued in Singapore to highlight our hawker culture. We get our cheap and delicious food from the hawker centres :yum:

I forgot about this topic to be honest :speak_no_evil::see_no_evil:
Receiving several food related stamps very recently made me remember it !
I’m not a stamp collector as such, but I think if I were, this would be the theme I would collect !

Here are my recent arrivals:

I think Japan is probably the country with the nicest food-themed stamps out there… so much variety and they all look super cute — and delicious too! :yum:

It’s so cool the way they included both the moulds and the cookies themselves in the stamps! Did they smell like speculaas too? :yum:

It’s cool indeed  but it’s a pity they don’t smell like cookies…
