I recently came into possession of a small group of stamps from Azahind. I wasn’t sure where these stamps were from, so I looked it up. Apparently The Azad Hind stamps are a set of prepared but never issued stamps for the planned Provisional Government of Free India under Subhas Chandra Bose. Bose was an ally of Japan during WWII. He had hopes of securing independence for India from Great Britain with Japanese help.

interesting, but since they were not issued I guess they don’t hold any value.
Correct. But a collector from India might find this of interest. Collectors often spice up their collections with Cinderella stamps like this series.
