Since the 2000 Olympics Australia Post has issued stamps featuring gold medal winners and as one of our skiers has just “struck gold”, (Jakara Anthony), a stamp will soon be issued to commemorate her achievement. It will be the sixth Winter Olympics stamp depicting gold medallists.

No UK issue planned for the winter Olympics, I’m afraid. This year seems to be all about the jubilee here in the UK (the queen’s been on the throne for 70 years and is the longest serving monarch in British history)
