6.5 x 4.5 Postcard Prices USA

Hi. I read online that we can use the regular postcard stamps on smaller(normal size) postcards if mailed domestically within the USA. The postcards I bought are about 6.5 x 4.5 so slightly bigger. Do you think I can get away with a postcard stamp or do they need regular forever stamps (like for letters)? Thanks!

The postcard rate for Domestic postcards is the same for Standard size, Continental size or Modern size. Makes no difference.

Your card is within the 6"x9" dimension limits for the postcard stamp!

Before 2021, the limit used to be 4-1/4"x6", and you would’ve had to pay the rate of a first-class letter (i.e. the rate of a forever stamp), but now you’re good to send off larger cards at the lower postcard rate! (Some parts of the USPS website have not been updated with this information, but the updated information can be found here: 201 Quick Service Guide | Postal Explorer)

Just keep in mind this rate is increasing on January 22nd from 44c to 48c!

Yes there seems to be a lot of different, conflicting information about there when I googled it. This helps! Thank you!
