There is a wonderful interval when in the middle of autumn very warm days suddenly come, like in summer! Among eastern and Western Slavs, in Russia this time is called “BABYE SUMMER”, southern Slavs - Bulgarians - use the name “GYPSY SUMMER”, Serbs - “Mikhailovsky SUMMER”, Carpathian Slavs call these days “WOMEN 'S FROSTS”, in countries with German they call these days “SUMMER OF ELDERLY LADIES” or “GRANDMOTHER’S SUMMER”, and the Dutch used to call this time as “AFTER SUMMER”, the inhabitants of France call it “THE SUMMER OF ST. DENIS”, in Italy it is called “THE SUMMER OF ST. MARTIN”. But in North America, the name “Indian SUMMER” is used. The community of Belgorod postcrossers decided to combine Slavic symbols of this period and Indian ones. A thematic exhibition will be dedicated to this, specially created postcards will be signed for the event, a drawing of postcards on a social network will be held.
Есть чудесный промежуток, когда в середине осени вдруг наступают очень тёплые, как летом, дни. В России это называется “БАБЬЕ ЛЕТО”, а во всём мире - “ИНДЕЙСКОЕ ЛЕТО”. Вот поэтому сообщество белгородских посткроссеров решило совместить славянские символы этого периода и индейские. Этому будет посвящена тематическая выставка, будут подписаны специально для мероприятия созданные открытки, проведём розыгрыш открыток в социальной сети.
