The postcard was chosen from the series “Culture of Komi” by Anastasia Pimenova. Hunting in Komi was one of the main and oldest crafts. According to myths, the duty of a man to hunt was established by the supreme god Yon.
Pay attention to the ancient Komi calendar imprinted on the postcard. It is a ring depicting 9 months and 9 animals corresponding to them: bear, marten, squirrel, fox, otter, moose, wolverine, ermine and deer. There is an opinion that to a hunter who wears a similar calendar on his chest, the prey itself goes into his hands
