Rosehip tea tastes better when its fruits are ripe

A decoction of rosehip fruits is a folk remedy, known to many for its medicinal properties.
Rosehip was held in high esteem in Russia. For many generations, healers have used an infusion (tea) from its fruits as a preventive measure for diseases and for the treatment of ailments. In the XVII century, the healing properties of rosehip were appreciated so highly that they began to exchange dry fruits, leaves and oil for satin, velvet, and jewelry.

Pour me some tea in a cup with cornflowers"

Cornflower blue or field is loved by many for its beautiful inflorescences of deep blue color, but not everyone knows about its exceptional properties. The health benefits of cornflower flowers, which retain all the richness of valuable properties in dried form, consist in a complex effect on the body.
Decoctions of cornflower were used by Aristotle for medicinal purposes.

Cornflowers (field) are harvested during flowering ā€” the second half of July, early August. We collect it this way ā€” first we tear the baskets, then we pluck the marginal flowers from them. The presence of internal tubular flowers is undesirable! We carefully lay it out on a paper napkin, close it, lightly press it down with the palm of our hand, leave it to wilt during the day, not in the light. Then dry quickly at a temperature of no more than 60 degrees. It is possible in a conventional electric dryer, everything will dry in half an hour. Properly harvested flowers retain their blue color. Store in a jar, in a dark place.

Have you tried cornflower tea?
