Dear friends!
We are glad to announce our Postcrossing Meetup dedicated to World Ocean Day!
Unofficially, this holiday has been celebrated since 1993. Its purpose was to pay special attention to the inextricable connection with the ocean of all mankind and to raise awareness of the importance of its protection from pollution.
On the 5th of December 2008 the UN General Assembly approved the 8th of June as the World Ocean Day.
Nowadays, in many countries, this holiday is celebrated with festivals, exhibitions and the display of thematic collections.
We will visit the Volgograd Oceanarium “Discovery Ocean”, meet its inhabitants, take a lot of colorful photos and sign commemorative postcards!
