OMG so glad you posted this, I love making my own envelopes! When I first started it would take me a long time, now I can make one in a couple of minutes.

No problem, sometimes you don’t have an envelope so you have to know how to help yourself.

I have done crafting and scrapbooking for years and use a tool from Stampin Up to make envelopes from scrapbooking paper.

I bought some envelopes that were disappointingly thin - I mean the quality of the paper. I will use them up, but I am going to take one apart for a template.
I also have the We R Memorykeepers envelope punch board thingy! I love it!

I’ve used a version of these instructions that uses a letter sized sheet of paper, and it’s worked great for me 
What’s nice is you fold it just the right size to put postcards inside. I like to write a letter on what becomes the inside of the envelope, put the address and stamps on the outside, and then seal some postcards inside. (Photo from the internet)
