Hi everyone! I’m new to PostCrossing too and I think it looks like fun! When I was a child my mum showed me her collection of postcards and I’ve been fascinated by them since. I love getting to know new people and I hope this exchange will be a good way to do that

Hi! I joined Postcrossing in 2007 and I sent cards for 2-3 years before I had my first child and became busy learning to be a mom! I just made a new account and rejoined a few weeks ago (three kids and 3 moves later!), and I’m happy to be here!

Hello! I’m Samy (she). I’m 17 years old and I love getting postcards!! When I’m going to school, I see it in my mailbox and it brightens up my whole day! It’s such a pleasant surprise, knowing people are taking time out of their day to choose a card and write a pretty message for me.

Hello everybody. I’ve only just come across this wonderful activity and I’ve just sent my first postcard. I’m so excited to have become involved, to be able to talk to people all over the world. I love the fact that we are writing instead of typing and that postcards of every imaginable kind are circling the globe. Our lives all have hardships, complications and sadness in them, especially at the moment with the added difficulty of Covid, so the idea that we can all come together to comfort each other and find out about each other is a joy to me. My name is Claudine, Claud for short, I’m 60 years old with two grown children and a husband of nearly 30 years. I think I’m interested in everything, which results in an overcrowded brain but at least it keeps my mind alive. I live in the West Country (Somerset) in the UK which I love because of a deep connection to nature. I love books, music and all the arts, I sell secondhand and antiquarian books and bric-a-brac/collectables and I make jewellery. I love cooking and I’m interested in food and recipes from around the world. I think I’ve probably overwhelmed you with information so I’ll stop now. Just to say that I’m delighted to be here and I would love to talk to you all. I hope you and yours are safe and well x
