Scam Site ads on home page

Hi all,

I saw an ad on the homepage for [REMOVED BY ADMIN] both of which are scam stamps sites. They sell fake stamps that cannot be used in the mail. Essentially, they sell stickers that look like stamps, but are not usable stamps as advertised.

Is there something we can do to at least let people know about this scam?

Thanks!

I guess there’s a lot of scamming with these things jeez.

@Boeboe If it doesn’t pass the smell test, it probably isn’t legit.

This was already dealt with when it was reported to us, but only now I spotted this topic about it.

I have edited the first post to remove the links since they were pointing to scam websites and they don’t need more visits…

Although rare, sometimes such bad ads pass through Google’s quality filters and end up being displayed. Those should be reported directly to us (not on the forum), ideally with the URL they point to, or at least a screenshot of the banner, to help us find it in the banners pool (which has many thousands of different banners).

In addition to that, every banner has a little cross at the corner, that looks like this:

Anyone can use that x to report it immediately to Google which may help speed up the process.
