#6 @mikeyz1 a vintage view card of the Paper Mill town of Rumford, Maine, on the banks of a river. Have you ever smelled a paper mill? It’s just wunnerful! Thanks for trying to get a card combining my nouns. The random choices are kind of strange so we’ll see how it goes.

#10 @emotis I hope your sons move in went well! Great card too.

Hi friends, lots to report. I was out of town for the past few weeks. I meant to come back home on the weekends to check on cards and update, but my roommate got COVID. Now she’s better but I have COVID and am stuck at home! Ugh!

@cawindt #1 Thank you for the beautiful postcard of the Acropolis. Sounds like you had a lovely time in Greece!
@CrimsonKing #2 Lesly, I do not enjoy shopping other than grocery shopping. I am an in and out kind of person. My mother is not. I tend to physically drag her around by the arm when we go to the store together, otherwise we leave with too much stuff and too little money!
@jenhart #4 I am lazy like you when it comes to decorating cards. And you have great handwriting, especially compared to me! This week a doc and I compared handwriting and it was declared to be “identical.” Sigh. At least nobody used the word illegible, though they might as well have!
@carolreader #5 Thanks for the great card of the cactus wren. I’m not very good at birds, but I think it looks a little similar to a kookaburra.
@mikeyz1 #6 Thank you for the great aerial view of Albuquerque! I hope you get to return soon.
@Shesa-Renegade #8 Thank you for Lexington’s Thoroughbred Park! I hope you enjoyed the farmer’s market! Do you have a favorite thing you always buy?
@ljbbauer #9 Laura, thank you for the very fluffy and adorable bunnies! Hope the music festival was a rocking time!
@emotis #10 Thanks for the card of Mt Washington! My mother can sleep in the car great - sounds like maybe you can too.
@Yarn-Lady #12 Thanks for Wind Cave NP! I haven’t been, either.
@ladybug513 #13 Thanks for the great card from Wildwood, NJ! The 99c store made me laugh; I wish I could see what they used to sell! I can’t imagine getting many tourist hotspot souvenirs for that price these days. I went to the art museum last weekend and a pen was $1.50. Hope the renovations are going well!
@scoutingbear #14 Thanks for the great card from Oatman! You picked a good card for me indeed. I rarely pick cards FOR people, I tend to buy cards and then just dig through my collection while reading profiles.
@jacieslar #16 Thank you for the lovely butterfly card. Yes, a lot of schools have just started. A busy time of year!
@YOIYUMTEWA #17 Thank you for the vintage card of the Kaaterskill Falls! It arrived it pretty good condition.
@LaurenceB #18 Thanks for the card of Mount Maunganui! How was Quebec City?? It sounds like the rough start didn’t deter you from having a good time. Hopefully it’s just a fun family story in the future and the next vacation goes more smoothly.
@ellistrations #19 I love this Polychrome Pass card from LP! I hope you get a nice chunk of time off work soon and are able to take a vacation. Retail is hard work!
@mdmsamm #21 Thank you for the fantastic art card and the warm message. Your story is so awesome and it’s clear that you have always followed your heart.
@uconn #22 Thanks for historic Wethersfield and the fun history lesson. I think it’s cool when they turn old houses into museums. Always fun to visit.
@roxy #24 Thanks for the great Vancouver card! Since I have COVID, my plans for the next 5 days are to stay at home and get bored out of my mind. Sigh. There go the dinner plans I made for the weekend!
@Missy99 #25 Thanks for the great NC card. I’m glad someone else understands the appeal of NorCal beaches! Sounds like we have a lot in common.
@sarahaeyo #26 Thanks for the climbing card! I’m touched that you have been on the lookout. I am between 10-15 now, I think. Hope you enjoyed your trip to Portland!
@TwoDoggies #28 Thanks for the great card from Belgium! The tours by boat in the city canals sound lovely.
@melvnoble #29 Thanks for the Liberty Bell card! It must be fun to hear it ringing on the days you mentioned. GENTLY…haha!

#1 @cawindt – This picture of a fishing boat in Greece really conveys the flavor of the tranquil countryside that you described. Thank you…and I’m glad you had a wonderful time.

#6 @mikeyz1 – I just finished a book about Van Gogh and his brother Theo, so this card is timely. He was so amazingly talented but so driven. Thanks.

#7 @mere5oh – A Renoir painting I’m familiar with, and I like – thank you! I am not by nature a risk-taker myself, and I always have to push. A trip to Germany sounds wonderful.

#9 @ljbbauer – I have seen this portrait of Obama online many times, but never realized what the background was composed of! I’m very glad to get this card - thanks!

#15 @AccentOnHakes – This is the best description of a jackalope I’ve ever received. Knowing how to milk one of them will prove invaluable. Thank you!

#16 @jacieslar – I’ve never seen a Pixar movie, but I enjoy many of the cards. This one is cool! Thank you!

#24 @roxy – Klimt is definitely a favorite of mine. I have a print of “The Kiss” hanging in my bathroom. Thank you for this “golden” card.

#1 @cawindt sent “The castle of the throne” Bourtzi, Greece, thank you Craig! I bet it was beautiful out there. I would love to roam all over Europe for a few years, try all the foods and such.

#9 @ljbbauer sent a rabbit and how it looks on the inside, thanks Laura! Hehe. You chose this card for me because I like rabbits and knowing how to build one!

#17 has received more cool cards:

#1 @cawindt The Acropolis. Aren’t most cities that way–a built up or fairly well-maintained area where tourists tend to go, then the modern yet run down part where the “real people” live.

#15 @AccentOnHakes picture of a bunch of teenagers hanging out, waiting for something to happen at the skate park.

#12 @Yarn-Lady Flag of Alabama, accompanied by the state seal (has a map) and the Alabama quarter from the state quarter series

#18 @LaurenceB postcard of the cover of the 1962 official Ontario road map. Neat. I scraped my knee pretty badly, too, a couple days ago. Went out to get the mail after dark and tripped over something. Still hurts.

#27 @beatriceh a cute little kitten. I need to get a couple cats, but need to at least partially kitten-proof my house first. Devil in the White City is on my list of things to read. One of my favorites is The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon

#14 Jennifer, in Saint Paul there is all these structures? If so that is a lot of history of architecture and engineering…wow…. .You made me chuckle about where you ended up and blissfully melting, just for my curiosity, is this a good thing? Why i absolutely love the cold, you can always warm up in style….and I don’t ever feel the cold…ever…I should have been born in Iceland. Enjoyed the chuckle. And the stamps ty.

#12 Cynthia, forgive all the probing here, is this really a painting onto a parking garage? It is absolutely stunning, would love to see more of these , who did the painting…and it is obvious you like it, so I like it too. Pretty stamps as well ty.

#25 Melissa, park…? how lovely, everyone has their fav -some are ocean, mountain, forests peeps, my hubby and I are both forest peeps, we even live on forestview and have a small protected forest in our backyard. and here you were worried we may be disappointed, well no sweet lady, this is my type of view and I happen to love your floral circle stamps too…ty for sharing your world with me.

( You are all shaming me btw, I will certainly be writing less, I was told when I first came on to write details (on cards) in the future I will keep to one short paragraph…) I blame it on being a cheerleader :mega: of life…

#8 @Shesa-Renegade Thank you for the great bookstore card. It’s rare now to see stores that sell both new and used.

#6 @mikeyz1 I love baked beans. I’ve come up with a pretty good vegetarian version. I really need to try the Detroit filling station. Everyone keeps telling me about it. Thanks for the great stamps!

#5 @carolreader what a handsome looking kitty! And it came in time for National Black Cat day. Much better than dead mice. Thank you!

#16 @jacieslar How interesting! This is the only kind of pie I’ve ever tried, but I really like it and I’ve been thinking of making my own. Thanks for the card. I may try it for Christmas.

#28 @TwoDoggies Love the vintage Chicago card! I actually just tried to mail off two vintage Chicago cards with the o’hare flags and a scene inside of o’hare. I wanted to mail them from the airport, but they took the postbox out of the airport during covid. Shame.

#24 @roxy Thank you for this very sweet card  I used to love butterfingers. Now, when I eat them, I just feel like I’m getting a cavity. I say as I stuff my face with cake…

#9 @ljbbauer Thank you for taking a look through my favorites. I do indeed love this card. I hope you enjoy the concert this weekend.

#2 @CrimsonKing What a pretty Christmas card. I love it! I wonder what the cake is too.

@mere5oh #7 Thanks for the art card! It is totally normal and okay to be nervous about your procedure, especially if this is your first time or you haven’t done a lot of them. I would be nervous too! I am sure you are going to have a great team taking care of you and keeping you comfortable. Fingers crossed you get some answers!

question…I mailed everything on July 31st but post office did not pick up till August 2nd as it was a long weekend here in Canada, all photos are taken with stamps, written ( front and back) do I have to send again for those who are not in receipt…seems odd that many of you still have not received in over 3 weeks ? Is this common…as you are my first to USA in volume, guess I am worried especially to you Craig, of all those to not receive ….that does not look good  mystery solved…Craig’s arrived yah
