I have seen them many times until last December, but I don’t see them this month on the cards from Germany.

Was hoping for a Valentines day postmark from one of the mail centres, but this year’s charity sponsor for Royal Mail is the British Heart Foundation, at least there is a Heart on the postmark

Quite right. There are some railway stations in China that have post offices and keep them open. I think the postmark on the CRH and other trains you mentioned refers to the train postmark. The train postmark generally exists on the train line to escort the train. It is the postmark inside the post office, not outside. For escort, the postmark will mark the starting and destination of the train. The existing train postmarks are few and difficult to cover. But the postmark of the railway station is easy to cover.
