Posting from the UK- is it slower going out than coming in?

These are 5 postcards I've sent today with different stamps, just to give you an idea. I usually buy a selection from the Royal Mail website - postage is free if you spend £50. I get other values & older 1st/2nd class stamps from a seller on Etsy.

Thanks for this @moonraker_girl I was wondering about ‘older’ stamps- can these still be used? Or are they just added for decoration?? I have no idea if stamps ‘go bad’ lol

I’ve only just seen this! Older commemorative stamps can be used. Royal Mail has recently announced that the definitive stamps (the regular ones) & Christmas stamps won’t be valid after 31 January 2023, only the new barcoded ones.
