My personal preference is to collect by country (the most common way to collect/organize, I believe).
The display method I like the most, for a “by country” collection, are pre-printed hingeless country albums. Especially the ones that include information about the stamp and topic.
The Mystic Heirloom Albums are a good example:
A cheaper option is to use stock books, or you can create (design and print) your own albums.
I would recommend, if you go the “by country” road, to use a country catalogue. You can find a free one at Colnect.com
