In Japan, a special stamp will be issued on March 15th.
The focus is on the beauty and artistry of stamps, and this time the subject is French architecture.
The stamp was designed by French illustrator Florence Gendre.
Using multiple types of special printing, it has a gorgeous finish such as gold leaf processing and embossing, but the face value is 500 yen!
It costs 70 yen to send a postcard overseas from Japan, and 110 yen to send an envelope.
When should I use this expensive stamps?
And why didn’t you use Japanese architecture as a motif?
It’s a mystery to me… (Chambord and Chenonceau castles are amazing, of course!)

As to why he chose the castles, my guess is because they’re French, so they picked a familiar subject?

Marcialonga 50 years, issued january 29:
The Marcialonga (in italian sounds as “long march”) is a cross-country ski race of 70 km, that is held the last sunday of january in the Fiemme and Fassa valleys, in the Dolomites area.
Stamp is as usual a B valid for domestic 20g.
Apart the FD mark, there are, as every year, two other special marks issued in Moena and Cavalese, the start and finish towns:
