hello postcrossing friends,
I am organizing a meetup in the Zaanse Schans on May 15th. it’s on a sunday.
we will gather between 8:45AM and 8:55AM and then at 9AM we will all have our picture taken by an photographer right there on the spot. this photo you can buy there, but not required ofcourse.
(this is not an photo in special clothes)
why so early!
** this is because everyone has enough time to discover the zaanse schans or the museum there on there own time.
the schans is open from 9:00AM till 17:00 PM ( and we are busy from 12:00 till 17:00 )
you can park right at the zaanse schans, it’s 10 euro for the whole day.
And if you carpool maybe you can split the costs.
if you come by train it is an ± 17 minutes walk from the station, to the zaanse schans. But also there is an bus stop right before the zaanse schans.
after the photo you have free time from 9AM to 12 NOON to discover the Zaanse Schans.
for example you can visit the tin house, the clog factory, the cheese factory.
I have found that there is a zaanse schans APP,
called : Schans App .
Use this app to explore the Schans, be shown around and be amazed about the special history of this Dutch piece of heritage. This app leads you along the beautiful buildings and the unique peat meadow landscape. View the crafts at the clog factory, cheese farm, weaving mill, cooperage or the cocoa lab, but of course also the various mills and monumental buildings. at 12:10 we make sure that we are in restaurant De kraai to have lunch there first. you can freely choose from the card and order there on the spot.
possible to pay separately.
after lunch we move to the first floor (the small attic) to stamp, sticker and write our cards and meeting books. and we can sit there untill 17:00 PM max.
the meeting card is specially designed by a well-known designer, the price will therefore be 0,55 cents each.
