Let’s get ready to guess and learn!
*This is an advanced version of a guessing game, inspired by the original Guess what I am - lottery
The host of the round chooses a postcard or a stamp and arranges a guessing game. Participants try to guess what is the image of the postcard/stamp or other things related to them. The winner gets the postcard (or the stamp on a random postcard) and starts a new round.
When you’re guessing:
Please, give others a chance to guess too (one guess per post, one other guesser in between).
Since the host isn’t a guesser their comments don’t apply
Please, don’t edit your guess even if you feel it isn’t correct.
When you’re hosting:
Pick a card/stamp to play for.
Introduce a guessing game for the card/stamp:
- What is the image on the card?
- What is the image on the stamp?
- What is the location of the card?
- Who is the artist of the art work?
- …or think of something new.
Give the guessers hints (approx. one for each incorrect guess) that help the guessers towards the right guess.
Feel free to come up with creative, humorous or educational hints or guesses. They may have some complexity and require some look-ups, but a single round should not be needlessly stretched. Be reasonable while hosting. So if your round is challenging, provide better hints to counter balance.
Please do not edit comments multiple times. This applies to the comments / responses written by the owner of the card / starter of the new guess.
When the correct guess was made, PM the winner for the address to send your card. The winner can start the next round.
While sending the card to a winner, please, don’t forget to mention the tag title.
We welcome newcomers: just jump in with your guess or scroll to see some of the cards that have been played for (the text itself will be outdated and less useful). If the current round requires too much look-up for your taste, be sure to also check-out the Guess what I am - lottery as mentioned above.
Above all, have fun, because this is just a game.
