Urban Sketching / Sketch Where You Live

For this tag, you sketch a picture on the front of the card. You make a sketch of the place where you live. In pencil, in ink, in ballpoint pen, with paint or with markers - anything goes. You can draw the view from your window, from your street, or from your car. A favorite building in your town, or a tree in your backyard, or your local grocery store. It’s all about exchanging views of the world with each other.

You don’t have to be an artist. Just pick up a pencil and a blank notecard and go exploring! Any “boring” local view may be exotic to the person receiving your postcard.

My notes: “urban sketching” is a common phrase used by many artists who go out and draw their environment (see also: urban sketchers community and the 100 urban sketching postcards box that I really wish I owned!). But for people who live in the countryside, ‘urban’ is not relevant, so I added the 'Sketch where you live" to the title.

I personally love urban sketching and it would be great to send such a card to people who are interested, and to receive sketches from other people.
