On this wiki one can find (and contribute to) the translation of common expressions used in postcard exchanges.
Feel free to contribute to it, but please:
- always follow the structure & content used in the already existing languages; don’t add/remove expressions so that the same uniform content can be found throughout;
- only make edits to languages you are a native speaker of;
- keep in mind the context that they are to be used for: to write on a postcard to someone you don’t know well, but still keeping it friendly and informal;
- if there are relevant distinct regional dialects of the same language, those can be added too under the respective language (please don’t remove the existing ones), and indicate the dialect name as well next to it.
- If you have a whole new language to add, we’re here to help with the formatting if needed.
