I see that it’s harder than I thought…
I just had a brainfart, which I needed to confirm.

My idea was that countries can get unlocked by using a different country as an intermediary.

  1. I get an address that my country does not send to
  2. I write the address on the card and send the card in an envelope to someone in a country that I can send to, which does send to the recipient’s country
  3. the intermediary unpacks the card, sticks stamps on it, and sends it on.

I had not thought about the privacy bit before writing this post.
Perhaps this can be sorted via the forum/private messages, and I guess the main site does take these bans into account… Otherwise it’d be something for the main site primarily.

That’s what I understand you to be saying. Besides privacy and going against your own nation’s policies, there’s also the matter of cost. This intermediary would have to pay to send someone else’s cards as well as their own.

the cost, if a network would be set up, can be sorted.
I would not have a problem sending the intermediary the required funds…
As to going against a country’s policies… Not all policies are just.
Even the privacy thing can, when properly discussed, be safeguarded.
