Thank you everyone; CTE3 has finally arrived at its final destination! I will open it after I go through today’s mail and let you know what arrived in the envelope.

Results of CTE3 – sent out on January 6th; returned on February 7th.

What came back:

graffiti street art – “The Sun King” by Brassai
sports/athletics – Quebecois sneakers

What was brand new:

science – Texas Medical Centre postcard (from @garvey)
photography – Design Museum building detail (from @HookedonPostcards)
20th century art – Edward Gorey illustration (from @HookedonPostcards)
water – Baird painting (from @garvey)
nature – Freshwater Eden photo of plants and fungi (from @garvey)
Canadian landscape – Ontario forest (from @garvey)
black and white – fish circle photo from (from @garvey)

and a mysterious puffin postcard from Newfoundland/Labrador!

Thank you all very much for participating. I hope you ended up with some nice postcards; I know I ended up with some wonderful, novel choices!

Haha – that puffin card was an ad card I threw in for HookedonPostcards. Oh well, if we do another CTE it can do the rounds again. . . .
I see that my idea of sending 9 cards to keep it under 50g did not work: my envelope of 9 weighed 62g (durn big CDN cards ) (& hence the enclosure of an extra card;-)

 Somehow I missed that the puffin was for me. Ooops …

CTE4 is open for registration
I propose to make it a Challenge envelope: cards should fit the rule defined by the Host.

May I join CTE4, as the Host?
Thank you!

CTE #4 is ready for tomorrow’s mail to @garvey.
If it helps prepare for the “challenge”, the theme is International Women’s Day (March 8): any postcard about women. 10 cards.
